U.S. Government Partners with Higher Education Medical Male Circumcision Campaign

Present during the launch was the Minister of Health, Dr. Aaron Moatsoaledi, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Training, Mduduzi Manana, representatives of the U.S Diplomatic Mission to South Africa, students and peer educators.

This was revealed at the launch of the campaign at the Tshwane University of Technology, Pretoria, on Thursday May 30, 2013.
The U.S. government has been a key partner in the South African government’s medical male circumcision effort from the beginning. Over the past year alone, organizations funded by PEPFAR have collectively conducted over 206, 000 circumcisions, directly supporting the South African governments national program and goals.
